In these columns we feature works of distinguished artists and lens persons. This week we are pleased to introduce Rathin Das.
Rathin took to photography in 1975, but was always content confining them to his personal album.
Proud to call himself Citizen Sane, he chose journalism as profession. But when he preferred pen over camera, his photography got a new dimension. Now whenever he picked up his camera, his photography was all about sheer timing and composition! Obviously a skill acquired from journalism!
Despite being an accomplished lensman, theatre enthusiast and a micro film maker, Rathin’s preoccupation with journalism meant he never held any exhibition of his photographs.
This is the first time ever that his photographs are being exhibited in public and globalbihari.com is immensely proud to be his chosen platform for the exhibition. As can be seen, his photographs have hues of all shades, marked with sheer timing.
