Muscat: People thronged to the opening of a pizza joint in Muscat after two years of a lull due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This was reflective of the changing scenario and a strong indicator that Oman is bouncing back with leaps and bounds in every sector. Foodies of Oman have now been hopping from one joint to another to find out various types of foods in and around Muscat.
To serve the palette of people from in and around Muscat, the new family restaurant serving Pizzas and many more – ‘Pizza Modo’ opened its doors at a grand ceremony in the heart of Ruwi, next to Sultan Qaboos Mosque, Muscat on the evening of December 2, 2022.
This was the 7th branch of the pizza chain. Alongside there were other branches in different areas of Oman, namely in Al Amerat, Al Hail, Quriyat, Izki and the Sinaw region, all had come up within two years, in collaboration with Kashif’s friends and business partners – Syed Medar Shah, Iqbal and Haji Nazeer, who are the partners of different branches.
The pizzas served are of different varieties including French, Italian, and Asian, all quite delicious and tasty. The chicken wings and salad corner here were also major attractions. The newly opened restaurant is located in a prominent place in Ruwi.
The grand opening ceremony of Pizza Modo in Ruwi started with tilawat and duas. The chief guest of the event Sheikh Syed Fayyaz Ali Shah did the grand opening of the seventh branch by cutting the ribbon along with Kashif Ahmed Zaeem, owner of Pizza Modo, who introduced its first branch in Al Khuwair.
From the media and film fraternity Kabir Yousuf, Lakshmi Kothaneth from Oman Observer, Lovel, Jay Kumar from Kerala Kaumudi, and Lovel Edathil, a film artist, also graced the event with their presence. A large number of Ticktockers and Reel makers including Chaudhry Atif Mehmood, Selvi Reddy were present.
The guests of honour of the ceremony were Major Abbas Al Lawati, Mohammed Yaseen Bhatti, Nadeem Azeemi, Dr Akbar Rafey, Chaudhry Abbas and Fahad Awais Munir.
Others from the communities included, Syed Sakhawat Shah Bukhari, Shabbir Ahmed Nadeem, Akhmat Hayat Raja, Tajamul Jami, Chaudhry Ashgar Ali, Mohammed Aleem Anis, Azra Aleem, Imran, Zahid Shakoor and many more.
Guests from various communities residing in Oman attended the grand opening ceremony.
