New Delhi: An international photography exhibition on Prime Minister Narendra Modi organised by president of the International Council of Jurists, London, Dr Adish C Aggarwala has given a great chance to people of the national capital to know various facets of PM`s life through some rare photographs.
Chief Justice of India (retired) Dr Justice KG Balakrishnan inaugurated the “International photography exhibition on Modi: A champion of Prosperity and World Peace” at Lalit Kala Akademi in New Delhi on September 17 to mark the 72nd birthday of Modi.
Besides admirers of Modi, senior bureaucrats, diplomats, advocates, teachers, school children, college students and people from other sections of the people are visiting the exhibition. The exhibition will remain open till September 30, 2022.
In an exclusive interview with globalbihari.com, the curator of the exhibition, Dr Aggarwala said that he has planned to organise photography exhibitions on Modi in London, New York, Japan and Dubai.
Explaining the reason behind organising photo exhibitions in foreign countries, senior advocate Aggarwal, also the chairman of the All India Bar Association, said, “People from the United States know what type of grand welcome Modi has received in their country but they do not know what type of welcome he has received in Australia and Japan but through my photo exhibition, they will know about it too. It is the reason the PMO [Prime Minister’s Office] remembered me and permitted me to organise the photo exhibitions,” he added.
The basic information about the photographs featuring Modi has also been printed in different foreign languages.
Aggarwala who was also an acting chairman of the Bar Council of India has been a co-author of a book on Modi with a British author published in 2018 and another book on PM with an American author in 2020. Most of these photographs put on display in the exhibition at Lalit Kala Akademi have been picked from these books.
“I have the blessing of PM Modi and his prior permission in organising the photo exhibition on him in the national capital”, he added.
Flags of several countries have also been lined up on the top at the exhibition, synchronising so well with the organiser’s future plan to take it to various parts of the globe.
Around 1300 photographs have been exhibited at the exhibition.
Aggarwala said rare photos of Modi capturing memories of his childhood, showing him as an RSS Pracharak, chief minister of Gujarat and now Prime Minister are on display at the exhibition.
Uruguayan Ambassador Alberto A Guani who had also visited the exhibition told a TV channel, “It is very important, it is a reflection of what has been his life and his contribution. Modi is a very important person in India and is in contact with the majority of world leaders. Narendra Modi is a great personality, known the world over.”
