New Delhi: Action returned to Indian skies as 532 flights took off carrying 39,231 domestic passengers on Monday. However, due to restrictions implemented by various local authorities, over 82 flights also got cancelled in Delhi.
The first departure for Delhi airport was 6E 643 DEL-PNQ (Pune) at 0445 hours and first arrival SG 8194 AMD-DEL (0745 hours). Food & beverage (F&B) and retail outlets also got opened at Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport.
“This was the day when all our airports switched to the new normal,” the Airports Authority of India tweeted.
