Patna: The Society of Radio Amateurs (SORA) members , a group of Ham Radio enthusiasts have always rendered their services during disasters and emergencies. Ham Radio Operators are the second line of communication during earthquakes, floods and accidents. The SORA group based in the capital city of Patna has over 40 dedicated members who are coordinating and providing help and relief to people in need during the current Covid crisis.
The members regrouped together this morning not on their wireless sets but for an eyeball qso at the Kargil Chowk near Gandhi Maidan- the city centre, for another noble cause. Members have contributed to collect reusable fabric masks and sanitisers to distribute it to policemen on duty on the streets of Patna. Four different teams were formed and each team distributed the packed masks with sanitiser bottles to police pickets and police mobile vans on duty and handed over a handmade card to say thank you to the real Covid warriors.[the_ad_placement id=”content-placement-after-3rd-paragraph”]
