New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today congratulated Jacinda Ardern on getting re-elected as Prime Minister of New Zealand. In a tweet, Modi said, “My heartiest congratulations to the PM of New Zealand Jacinda Ardern on her resounding victory. Recall our last meet a year ago and look forward to working together for taking India-NZ relationship to a higher level. “
The 40-year-old Jacinda, a Labour Party candidate, won her second term in office after her rival Judith Collins (61) of the National Party conceded her defeat in the country’s general election on October 17.
The Labour Party in a tweet yesterday thanked “all its “incredible supporters” who voted for Jacinda and tweeted that “We couldn’t have done it without you. Now, let’s keep moving”.
