New Delhi: The first of the two custom-made VVIP aeroplanes – a Boeing 777-300ER – landed in Delhi today. These planes are procured to fly the President, Vice President and the Prime Minister. The plane arrived in the country after a non-stop flight from the Boeing headquarters in Texas in the USA.
The arrival of the plane was much behind schedule as it was planned to be delivered to Air India in July. However the outbreak of COVID-19 and certain technical formalities forced the delay in delivery.
The much talked about Air India One – in the lines of Airforce One of the USA President – is equipped with an advanced and secured communication system and many top end safety features.
