Guwahati: Two earthquakes within 20 minutes of each other hit the Northeast region today. The first earthquake pf 4.2 magnitude was felt at Dibang Valley in Arunachal Pradesh at 4:42:25 IST. Its epicentre was at Latitude 28.65 North and Longitude 96.26 East at the depth of 10Km.

The second earthquake occurred at Chandel region of Manipur at 15:02:43 IST. Its magnitude was 3.4 on Richter Scale and its epicentre was at Latitude 24.09 North, Longitude 94.11 East at the depth of 46 Km, the National Center for Seismology (NCS), said here today.
This is the fifth earthquake to hit the Northeast region this month.
