New Delhi: Delhi (Palam) reported country’s second highest maximum temperature with 47.6°C (+6℃ from normal) on Tuesday.
Churu (Rajasthan) with 50°C, recorded the highest temperature in the country. This is the second highest temperature recorded in the month of May in the last one decade.

Before this, the highest maximum temperature of 50.2℃ was recorded on 19 May 2016, the India Meteorological Department said.
