Kolkota: Right now Super Cyclone ‘AMPHAN’ is crossing West Bengal coast between Digha and Hatiya close to the Sunderbans. The forward sector of wall clouds has entered into the land. At 5.50 pm half of eye of the cyclone has entered to the land. The entire eye will be over land within next one hour. Landfall process continues and will take two-thirds hours to complete, says a senior official of India Meteorological Department.
Kolkata (Alipur and Dumdum) both reported 100 kmph winds and 222 mm & 194 mm rainfall respectively at 8.30 pm today.
