Patna: Even as problem of water logging in various localities of the state capital following incessant rainfall is far from over, residents are now apprehensive of swollen Punpun river bringing more miseries to them.

District Magistrate of Patna Kumar Ravi, who is camping at Punpun sought to allay fears oft residents of the state capital by saying Patna protection wall was very much intact.
Train traffic on Patna-Gaya and Rajgir-Bakhtiyarpr sections of East Central railway had remained suspended for the second consecutive day yesterday. East Central railway CPRO Rajesh Kumar said today that the train services were available from Gaya to Punpun for the last two days due to submergence of tracks in flood water.
Only hope for the marooned people is that Punpun river has started receding and situation is likely to improve in the next 24 hours.
