Mumbai: Visuals of actress Kangana Ranaut’s partially-demolished office were made available to media houses post the Bombay High Court ruling which adjourned the hearing on the civic body’s demolition action till September 22. There were pictures of wrecked furniture besides dilapidated walls. Pictures of the floor depicted scattered pieces of granite stone.
There was also talk about photos that had captured Kangana without any face mask. The mask is mandatory because of the Covid-19 coronavirus. This happened after Kangana tested negative for Corona on her return to Mumbai from her home state Himachal Pradesh by flight. The actress has been provided Y-Plus-level protection by the CRPF.

First, the BMC claimed that the actress’ edifice had several illegal constructions and began demolishing the structure. After partial demolition the operation was thwarted by a stay-order from the High Court in response to a petition filed by the actress.
The demolition of the building, which the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) claims contains illegal constructions, began yesterday. The court stopped the demolition after she filed her petition.
The court issued the stay with the observation that the demolition notice had provided 24 hours-response time when the actress was not present in Mumbai. In wake of the fact that she was out of town, the actress should have been given more time to respond.
Kangana responded by telling the media that she had due permissions for all the constructions that had been undertaken within her building. The actress termed the demolition act as an indulgence in vendetta by the state government for expressing hard hitting opinions about the ruling Shiv Sena and its allies in connection with the Sushant Singh Rajput death case.
Some of her comments related to Sushant Singh Rajput had compared Mumbai to the way Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). The Sena spokesperson responded stating her utterances merited sedition charges.
In her latest tweet on Thursday evening, she stated: “I had my office opening on 15th Jan, shortly after corona hit us, like most of us I haven’t worked ever since, don’t have money to renovate it, I will work from those ruins keep that office ravaged as a symbol of a woman’s will that dared to rise in this world #KanganaVsUddhav.”
