Guwahati: Isolated heavy to very heavy with isolated extremely heavy falls is very likely over Nagaland, Manipur, and Mizoram and Tripura on October 22 and 23, and over Assam and Meghalaya on October 23, the India Meteorological Department warned here today. It further warned of isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall Assam and Meghalaya on October 22; isolated heavy rainfall over Assam and Meghalaya on October 24, and over Nagaland, Manipur, and Mizoram and Tripura on October 24 and 26.
The Met department today explained that the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over West-Central Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood had concentrated into a Depression over Northwest and adjoining West-Central Bay of Bengal, was very likely to intensify further into a Deep Depression during next 24 hours.
“It is very likely to move north-northeastwards and cross West Bengal and adjoining Bangladesh coast as a Deep Depression between Sagar Islands (West Bengal) and Khepupara (Bangladesh) by October 23 afternoon,” it stated.
