Leh: Khadi Village Industries Commissions has put up world’s largest Khadi national flag (height 225 feet and width, 150 feet). The flag is displayed in Leh, Ladakh as a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi today tweeted that this was a “unique tribute to respected Bapu, whose passion towards Khadi is widely known”.
Modi also appealed to the people to consider making Khadi and handicraft products as part of their lives this festive season and to strengthen the resolve to build an Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
