The state saw a sudden spurt in COVID-19 cases in Bihar on Wednesday. After a 70-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man was found COVID-19 positive, the number of Corona virus affected persons rose from 126 on Tuesday to 143 on Wednesday — a sharp rise of 17 new cases within a day.
What is alarming is that that in less than 10 days the number of cases has more than doubled. Following is the district-wise figures of COVID-19 patients in the state:
Rohtas – 1, Saran -1, East Champaran – 1, Banka – 1, Bhojpur – 1, Lakhisarai – 1, Vaishali – 1, Nawada – 3, Gopalganj – 3, Bhagalpur – 5, Gaya – 5, Buxar – 8, Begusarai – 9, Patna – 16, Munger – 27, Siwan – 29, Nalanda – 31.
On Wednesday, 5 COVID-19 positive cases were found in Patna out of which 3 men were from Khajpura, one man was from Jagdeo Path, and another male from Salimpur.
