Guwahati: Two mild earthquakes hit the northeastern region on early Monday morning. The region has been hit by heightened seismic activities for the last couple of months.

The first earthquake of Magnitude:3.5, occurred at 02:30:47 IST, with the epicentre at Latitude: 24.98 North and Longitude: 94.63 East, at the depth of 10 km in Ukhrul district of Manipur.

The second earthquake was of magnitude 3.2 on Richter Scale with epicentre in Champhai district of Mizoram (Latitude 23.24 North and Longitude 93.29 East). It occurred at 03:39:38 IST, at the depth of 20 km.
