Tokyo: Shutler Pramod Bhagat and Shooter Manish Narwal won Gold medals while shooter Singhraj Adhana won Silver medal and shutler Manoj Sarkar won Bronze on day 11 of the Tokyo Paralympic Games today.
Moreover, shutlers Suhas L. Yathiraj and Krishna Nagar, who are in the Badminton finals, have assured India of two more medals on Sunday.
With total 17 medals in its kitty, India ranks 26th in the ongoing Paralympics.
Bhagat defeated Great Britain’s Daniel Bethell in the final of Men’s Singles Badminton, SL3 category. Manoj Sarkar defeated Japan’s Daisuke Fujihara to win the bronze medal.
Shooters Manish Narwal and Singhraj respectively bagged gold and silver in mixed 50m Pistol SH1 final. Narwal, in the process, also smashed the Paralympic record.
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar announced a reward of Rs. six crore and Rs. four crore respectively along with government jobs for Narwal and Singhraj. Both the medal winners hail from Faridabad.
Meanwhile, Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Anurag Singh Thakur today felicitated Paralympics Tokyo 2020 silver medallist Mariyyapan T and his coach Raja B in New Delhi today.
