Sikkim Governor Ganga Prasad
New Delhi: Two Governors have been given additional charge by the President. The Governor of Sikkim, Ganga Prasad, has been appointed by the President to discharge the functions of the Governor of Manipur, in addition to his own duties, during the absence on leave of Dr. Najma A. Heptulla, Governor of Manipur, a Rashtrapati Bhavan press release stated here today.
Moreover, Brig. (Dr.) B. D. Mishra (Retd.), Governor of Arunachal Pradesh will also discharge the functions of the Governor of Mizoram, in addition to his own duties, during the absence on leave of Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, Governor of Mizoram.
The above appointments will take effect from the dates they assume charge of their respective offices, the release said.
