New Delhi: The scheduled commercial international passenger services to and from India will resume from March 27, 2022, the Ministry of Civil Aviation stated here today. It said the decision has been taken after having recognized the increased vaccination coverage across the globe.
The suspension of scheduled commercial international passenger services to/from India, thus, stands extended only up to 23.59 hours IST on March 26, 2022, and air bubble arrangements shall accordingly be extended to this extent only, the Ministry stated.
The international operations shall be subject to strict adherence to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare guidelines for international travel.
It may be mentioned that in order to prevent the spread of Covid-19, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) had suspended operations of scheduled international commercial passenger services to/from India with effect from March 23, 2020. Currently, in terms of DGCA’s circular of February 28, 2022, the suspension of scheduled international commercial passenger services to/from India had been extended till further orders.
