Mumbai: Sanjay Raut, the Shiv Sena spokesperson, was asked to respond to a petition filed in the Bombay High Court by actress Kangana Ranaut against the partial demolition of her bungalow carried out by civic authorities in Mumbai.
The court directed the BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation H-Ward officer Bhagyawant Late to reply to the petition. The civic body’s demolition notice was served by Late earlier this month. Evidence of a threatening comment from Raut against actress Kangana was submitted to the court in the DVD format two days earlier. This prompted the High Court to allow Ranaut rope in both Raut and Late as parties to the case. The final hearing is slated for September 25.
Meanwhile, the counsel for the civic body has sought time for filing the response. The court has given time to Raut to respond till it’s time to reply to the hearing on Kangana ’s plea. However, Late has been asked to file his response latest by Monday without causing delay.
