Kiren Rijiju
New Delhi: Union Minister Kiren Rijiju was today shifted out of the Law Ministry and instead made the Union Minister of Earth Sciences. The announcement to this effect was made by the President on the advice of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
A Rashtrapati Bhawan press communique announced that Arjun Ram Meghwal, Minister of State has been assigned the independent charge as Minister of State in the Ministry of Law and Justice in place of Kiren Rijiju. He continues to hold his existing portfolios of Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, and Culture.
Prof. S.P. Singh Baghel, Minister of State has also been shifted from the law ministry and made a Minister of State in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in place of Minister of State in the Ministry of Law and Justice, the Rashtrapati Bhawan press communique stated.
