New Delhi: The biennial election to the Karnataka Legislative Council will be held on June 29, the Election Commission announced here on Tuesday.
The term of 07 members of Karnataka Legislative Council elected by the members of respective Legislative Assembly (MLAs) is expiring on June 230, this year. They are Naseer Ahmed, Jayamma, M.C.Venugopal, N.S.Bose Raju, H.M. Revanna,T.A. Sharavana and D.U. Mallikarjuna.
The last date for making nominations is June 19 and the results would be out before June 30, the EC said.

The Commission has also directed the Chief Secretary of the State to depute a senior officer from the State to ensure that the extant instructions regarding COVID-19 containment measures are complied with while making arrangements for conducting the elections.
