Bengaluru: Karnataka Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa on Friday quarantined himself at his private residence after three persons posted at his official residence ‘Krishna’ were found Covid-19 positive. The Chief Minister cancelled all his work scheduled for Friday. The three persons who were found corona infected were his electrician, standby driver and pilot vehicle staffer.
Yediyurappa is the second chief minister after Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, who have quarantined themselves this week.

In a statement on Friday, Yediyurappa said he was healthy and would continue all his work from his residence.He said he had quarantined himself as per the rules till next week. He though said that he would continue to hold meetings through video conferencing. “I am healthy. I appeal to everyone to follow the rules issued by government and take all precautionary measure. Wear masks and maintain social distance,” he stated.
