Washington D.C.: American President Joe Biden today announced that top Islamic State terrorist Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurayshi had “taken off” in the battlefield.
[A US official told a news agency that al-Qurashi exploded a bomb which killed him and a dozen others, including members of his family today, February 3, 2022, during the Joint Special Operations Command operation].
Offering details, Biden said the United States military forces in the northwest Syria successfully undertook a counterterrorism operation to protect the American people and our Allies last night at his direction, to “make the world a safer place”.
“Thanks to the skill and bravery of our Armed Forces, we have taken off the battlefield Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurayshi—the leader of ISIS. All Americans have returned safely from the operation,” Biden said. He further stated that he will deliver remarks to the American people later.

Earlier Pentagon Press Secretary John Kirby stated that the US Special Operations forces under the control of US Central Command conducted the counterterrorism mission last evening evening in northwest Syria.
“The mission was successful. There were no U.S. casualties,” he stated.
al- Qurayshi was an Iraqi Islamist and the second ‘Caliph’ of Islamic State (ISIS). The U.S. Rewards for Justice Program was offering up to $10 million on al-Qurashi’s head.
