New Delhi: The Indian and Chinese troops in the area of Gogra-Hotsprings (PP-15) in Eastern Ladakh have begun to disengage ‘in a coordinated and planned way”, a joint statement to this effect by the two sides, stated here today.
The disengagement is in accordance with the consensus reached in the 16th round of the India China Corps Commander Level Meeting. The move is “conducive to the peace and tranquillity in the border areas”, the joint statement said.
Reportedly, with disengagement at PP- 15, forces of the two countries have disengaged at all friction points in the region including the North and South banks of the Pangong Tso, PP 14, and PP 17A.
