New Delhi: India will observe one-day state mourning as a mark of respect to the departed Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. The Amir had passed away on September 29, 2020.
During the mourning, the National Flag will be flown at half mast on all buildings throughout India where it is flown regularly and there will be no official entertainment on the day.
Sheikh Sabah-al-Ahmad had contributed to building bridges of understanding in the Gulf region and beyond and had earned international recognition for his achievements in State-building and preventive diplomacy. A notable leader, he was held in high esteem by the people of Kuwait.
