New Delhi: A newly formed Panchayat Association now demands the implementation of uniform self-governance laws across the country.
The Association, National District Panchayat Association (NDPA), has already established its footprint in 24 states of India and is working to achieve self-governance to the village level.
The national governing body of NDPA was announced on May 10, 2023, at the residence of Union Road Transport and Highways Ministry Nitin Gadkari in New Delhi. It office bearers said one of the primary aims of the governing body is to implement the 73rd amendment of the Constitution which aims to implement the same self-governance laws across the country.
As it is, for sustainable development and all-around growth in the rural areas district panchayat bodies play a very crucial role.
NDPA president Kailash Gore Patil and general secretary Biri Santi talked to Global Bihari about the association and its aims in the video below. Incidentally, Santi is also the president of All Arunachal Pradesh Panchayati Raj Parishad and an internationally acclaimed former model who was declared title winner at the Mrs International Beauty Pageant in Sri Lanka in 2017 and was declared Mrs South Central Asia winner at the Mrs Universe event in the Philippines in 2018,
