New Delhi: Ahead of the Winter Session of Parliament, the Government today held a meeting with floor leaders of all political parties under the Chairmanship of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Shri Pralhad Joshi informed that the Winter Session of Parliament will commence on Monday, December 4, 2023 and subject to exigencies of Government Business, the session may conclude on Friday, December 22, 2023.
The Session will provide 15 sittings spread over 19 days and tentatively 19 items of Legislative Business and 2 items of Financial Business have been identified for being taken up during this session. Joshi also requested all party leaders to actively cooperate and support the smooth functioning of the two Houses of Parliament.
The meeting was also attended by the Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Law and Justice; the Minister of State in the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs and the Minister of State in the Ministry of Culture, Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal.
The meeting was attended by 30 leaders from 23 political parties.
