New Delhi: For the second day in succession, an earthquake of magnitude 2.7 occurred in National Capital Territory (NCT) Delhi, with epicentre of 28.7 N and 77.2 E, focal depth of 5 km at 13:26:32 IST, on Monday. The distance of epicenter was around 12.5 km North of Lodhi Road, New Delhi.

The earthquake was well recorded by seismological network of National center
for Seismology (NCS).
The NCT Delhi had experienced the recent past perceptible earthquake of magnitude 3.5 on April 13, 2020 and today’s earthquake epicenter is located about 5 km SE from yesterday’s earthquake ( see Figure 2).
NCT, Delhi lies on Zone-IV as per seismic zoning map of India. There was no significant potential damage expected with this today’s earthquake of magnitude 2.7 at a depth of 5 km.
