New Delhi: To ensure comprehensive food security and curb unethical speculation, the Government of India has mandated that all Traders, Wholesalers, Retailers, Large Chain Retailers, and Processors across all States and Union Territories must report their wheat stock levels on the designated portal (https://evegoils.nic.in/wsp/login) starting from April 1, 2025.
This reporting will continue every Friday until further notice. It is the responsibility of all relevant legal entities to accurately and consistently update their stock information on the portal, the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, stated today.
The deadline for the Wheat Stock Limit is set for March 31, 2025, affecting all types of entities across States and Union Territories. Following this date, these entities will be required to report their wheat stock on the designated portal. Entities that are not yet registered on the portal should complete their registration and begin reporting their wheat stock every Friday.
The Department of Food and Public Distribution stated it is actively monitoring the wheat stock levels to curb speculation, manage prices, and guarantee that wheat remains readily accessible throughout the country.
