Guwahati: The Journalists’Forum Assam (JFA) has expressed concern over the whereabouts of journalist Gautam Hazarika, who has gone missing from the city.
The JFA has urged the state police department to take appropriate actions to trace the young television journalist.
It is understood that Gautam, who was recovering from a major brain stroke three years back with tedious physiotherapy sessions, went outside on Saturday morning and since then he is missing. His wife has informed the police about his disappearance.
“JFA believes that Gautam has a strong mind to face all kinds of challenges and his missing brings disturbing news for the State media fraternity,” the JFA stated today. It also asked the satellite news channel DY365, where he used to work, to take interest in the initiative to find him.
