Mumbai: Latest reports pouring in on the Sushant Rajput case threw up new names in connection with the nodal agency Narcotic Control Bureau’s (NCB’s) investigation into the drug related angle. These included Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh and Simone Khambatta from the stables of Bollywood honchos. The NCB is continuing to record the statements of actress Rhea Chakraborty pertaining to the drug supply angle that is alleged to have led to Sushant’s death.
Detailed significance of the reasons why these names have popped out is yet to reach the news desk on actor Sushant’s death case. Nor is there any light thrown on the extent of alleged involvement in the NCB’s probe. Currently, the three celebrities have been issued summons from the NCB.

A host of drug peddlers, narco-dealers and suppliers, and Rhea’s brother Showik have so far been remanded to custody in the course of the NCB investigations. A section of the drug peddlers and suppliers have been remanded to NCB custody. Whereas Rhea and her brother Showik have secured jail custody.
NCB has conducted a total of 18 arrests in Sushant’s drug related angle. The latest round of arrests made by the NCB today featured the names of Showik’s friend Suryadeep Malhotra and Chris Costa.
Yesterday the NCB had arrested one Karam Jeet Singh Anand with Ganja (cannabis) in his possession. Three more suspected cannabis suppliers, one of them identified as Dywan Anthony Fernandes, were earlier arrested from Dadar (West) and NCB had said that it had had recovered 500 grams of ganja from them. Yet another arrest was made of Ankush Arenja in Powai who according to NCB was a receiver of contraband from Karam Jeet and also supplied it to arrested accused Anuj Keshwani.
NCB, Sub Zone, Goa meanwhile apprehended Chris Costa in the same case and was brought Goa from Mumbai. Investigations are on and NCB is yet to release the background and connection of the others arrested.
