Guwahati: An earthquake of 5.4 magnitude occurred in Sikkim with epicentre 38 km east-southeast of Gangtok at around 8.50 pm , the National Center for Seismology (NCS) informed here today. The shock was felt for a few seconds in Gangtok, a resident said, but no damage was reported at the time of going to the press.
