Patna: Following surge in COVID-19 cases in the state with the tally crossing 1 lakh mark, the Bihar government has extended the lockdown till September 6. The state’s home department issued an order in this regard on Monday.
It may be mentioned that the second lockdown was imposed from July 16 to July 31 and later extended till August 16.
The orders issued on July 30 for the containment of Covid-19 would be prevalent across the state, a state Home Ministry release stated. Hence, public transport would not be allowed to ply in areas falling under lockdown norms.

However, construction activities, transportation of goods, air and rail travel would be allowed to continue and offices, banks, and other offices would function with minimal staff strength.
