New Delhi: India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has crossed 100 crore mark (1,00,53,63,691) today. The Archaeological Survey of India illuminated 100 Monuments in Tri-color to celebrate the landmark achievement of 100 crore vaccinations.
India celebrated this achievement with the launch of a film and song at capital Delhi’s Red Fort by Union Health Minister, Mansukh Mandaviya.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed gratitude to doctors, nurses and all those who worked on crossing 100 crore vaccinations.
In a tweet, Modi said: “India scripts history. We are witnessing the triumph of Indian science, enterprise and collective spirit of 130 crore Indians. Congrats India on crossing 100 crore vaccinations. Gratitude to our doctors, nurses and all those who worked to achieve this feat. #VaccineCentury”.
Leaders from across the world congratulated India on crossing the milestone of 100 crore vaccinations today, terming it a huge and extraordinary accomplishment. US Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken in a tweet, said, “We congratulate India for the extraordinary accomplishment of administering one billion doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. I applaud India’s successes in fighting COVID-19 at home and for its efforts to help end the pandemic in the Indo-Pacific region and well beyond.”
Israel’s Prime Minister Naftali Bennet stated, “We congratulate India for the extraordinary accomplishment of administering one billion doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. The other world leaders who took to their respective twitter handles to congratulate India on this accomplishment included President of Sri Lanka Mahinda Rajapaksa, Prime Minister of Bhutan Dr. Lotay Tshering, President of Maldives Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, and President of Malawi Dr. Lazarus Chakwera.
As part of the nationwide vaccination drive, Government of India has been supporting the States and Union Territories (UTs) by providing them COVID Vaccines free of cost. In the new phase of the universalisation of the COVID19 vaccination drive, the Union Government will procure and supply (free of cost) 75% of the vaccines being produced by the vaccine manufacturers in the country to States and UTs.
