Washington: The mightiest is not spared by the tiniest Coronavirus! The President of the United States of America, Donald J. Trump tweeted today to confirm that he and his wife Melania had contracted COVID-19.
“Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!” Trump tweeted.
“As too many Americans have done this year, @potus & I are quarantining at home after testing positive for COVID-19. We are feeling good & I have postponed all upcoming engagements. Please be sure you are staying safe & we will all get through this together,” Melania informed in her tweet.
The physician to the President Sean P. Conley stated that both Donald and Melania were “well at this time”, and Conley along with the White House medical team maintained a “vigilant watch”. Conley expected the President to continue carrying out his duties without disruption while recovering.
Responding to the tweets of the Trumps, Indian President Ram Nath Kovind as well as Prime Minister Narendra Modi wished them speedy recovery.
“wish President Donald Trump @POTUS @realDonaldTrump and First Lady Melania Trump @FLOTUS a speedy recovery. Our prayers and best wishes are with you during this time,” President Kovind tweeted.
Modi in his tweet said: “Wishing my friend @POTUS @realDonaldTrump and @FLOTUS a quick recovery and good health.”
