Eluru/New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today expressed grief over the loss of six lives due to an explosion in a boiler in Porus Laboratories Private Limited at Akkireddygudem in Eluru, Andhra Pradesh.
A fire also broke out due to leakage of nitric acid, monomethyl, at the chemical unit, Eluru SP Rahul Deb Sharma said.

13 others were injured in the mishap around 11.30 pm on April 13, and Modi also prayed for their quick recovery.
The Andhra Pradesh government announced ex gratia of Rs 25 lakh to families of the deceased, Rs 5 lakh to those seriously injured and Rs 2 lakh to the others who suffered injuries in the boiler blast.
