New Delhi: In all 55.13 per cent voters turned out to vote in the seventh and last phase of assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh today, according to the Election Commission’s ‘Voter Turnout’ application.
The final polling figure will be available tomorrow, an Election Commission official said.
The districts that went to poll during this last phase were Azamgarh, Bhadohi, Chandauli, Ghazipur, Jaunpur, Mau, Mirzapur, Sonbhadra, and Varanasi.
The breakup of total voters’ turnout in each of the earlier six phase of the Uttar Pradesh elections is as follows:
1st Phase: 69.42%.
2nd Phase: 64.66%
3rd Phase: 62.49%
4th Phase: 62.82%
5th Phase: 58.33%
6th Phase: 55.79%
The counting votes and result announcement for all the five states – Goa, Punjab, Manipurt, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand – that went to polls recently will take place on March 10, 2022.
