Aizawl: An earthquake of magnitude 4.5 on Richter Scale occurred 295 km South-SouthEast of Champhai in Mizoram on Friday night at 21:35:11 (IST). It occurred at Latitude: 20.96, Longitude: 94.32 and at the depth of 68km. This was the fourth earthquake and third with epicentre close to Champhai since Sunday.
A low intensity earthquake of magnitude 2.8 on Richter Scale had also hit the National Capital Region of Delhi at 3:22 pm on Friday with the epicentre near Haryana’s Rohtak.

Earlier on Thursday at 15:48:55 IST, a low intensity earthquake of magnitude:2.8 on Richter Scale had also occurred in Assam with the epicentre at the depth of 58 kms along Latitude:24.83 North and Longitude: 92.54 East in Karimganz district of Assam. On June 12 too, an earthquake of magnitude 3.4 had occurred in Nalbari district of Assam on Friday at 19:03:42 IST, at Latitude :26.4 North & Longitude: 91.3 East, Depth: 10 km.
